A modern ranch cabin where you'll want to slow down and watch the light change.

Tucked on the edge of Sheridan just 13 miles from downtown, the Magpie Cabin sits on a working horse ranch with sweeping views of the Bighorn Mountains. It's the kind of place where the porch pulls you in and keeps you there.

Inside you'll find two bedrooms with queen beds, each with storage for your stay. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, and the bathroom features a walk-in shower, copper sink, and luxury towels with plenty of extras in case you forget something. Starlink internet and streaming TV are available — though most guests end up spending more time outside.

The large porch seats four and is where the real living happens. Guests are welcome to explore the ranch grounds and may catch sight of horses grazing, deer moving through, or a cowboy training horses in the arena. Please enjoy the scenery but don't interact with the animals.

Every season brings something different — spring wildflowers, green summer pastures, baby wildlife, brilliant fall colors, and winter snow-capped peaks rolling down from the Bighorns. Whatever brings you to Sheridan, the Magpie is set up to make it memorable.

Getting Here

Located 13 miles from downtown Sheridan — close enough for a quick drive into town, far enough to feel like you've genuinely gotten away. A all wheel drive or four wheel drive is recommened during the colder month.

Good to Know

Heat and AC provided by mini split system and propane fireplace. No dishwasher. Pets welcome — please keep them supervised and away from ranch animals. Grill available on the porch.
