Inside a historic brick printing press, The Pressroom Atelier unfolds as a study in light, texture, and proportion. Soaring 13-foot ceilings, skylights, and exposed beams frame a loft designed for those who notice the details. Two king suites and a bunk room sleep 8. A private rooftop perch with Bighorn Mountain views, gas fireplace, thoughtfully appointed kitchen, and onsite parking.
The Pressroom Atelier was restored over two years with a focus on permanence and craftsmanship, preserving the integrity of this 110-year-old brick structure while elevating it with materials typically reserved for custom homes.
Solid oak flooring runs beneath exposed brick and timber. A fixed skylight draws a column of natural light into the heart of the living space. French doors dissolve the boundary between the living room and the terrace beyond. The kitchen is anchored by a BlueStar gas range and farmhouse sink, with custom millwork concealing a Sub-Zero refrigerator.
Bathrooms feature unlacquered solid brass fixtures by California Faucets, paired with hand-selected tile and marble. Linens are sourced from Parachute. Extensive soundproofing and custom Pella windows ensure the energy of downtown stays outside when you're ready to unwind.
The architectural renovation was led by Arete Design Group, with interiors conceived by Laura Fredro Interiors. For over a century, this building housed the stories of the community. Today, it holds space for new ones.
Guest Access
Guests enjoy private access via an exterior staircase leading directly to the patio entrance, secured with custom digital keypads. A secondary street-level entrance opens into a shared hallway with the commercial space below — a security camera is located in this corridor for building safety only. Lower-level laundry with double washers and dryers is available for guest use.

We personally welcome each guest at check-in to orient you to the home and share tailored recommendations for dining, shopping, and exploring Sheridan. We remain available throughout your stay as local hosts and concierges, while fully respecting your privacy once you're settled. Pre-arrival grocery stocking, celebratory touches, and mid-stay linen refreshes available on request.
Good to Know
The Pressroom is accessed by exterior stairs — there is no elevator. Quiet hours observed 10pm–8am. Well-behaved dogs welcome with prior approval. Private on-site parking for one vehicle included.
The floor lamps look like they came out of an industrial workshop circa 1943. The sectional is unmistakably modern. Neither fights the other — they just work, the way things work when every decision was made on purpose. That's the Pressroom. The faucet got the same consideration as the linens, the linens the same as the light fixtures. You feel it before you can name it — full without being stuffed, deliberate without feeling designed-at.
The living space breathes. One couple in the kitchen, another at the breakfast bar, a third on the sectional by the gas fireplace — three separate conversations, zero friction. Then the hallway narrows, the bedrooms close in, and it shifts to something quieter. The architecture does the work.
Morning here is specific: coffee on the perch above downtown, the Big Horns going purple in the west as the sun comes up behind you, no music, no agenda — just Sheridan. Or walk two doors down to Innominate and get a bacon cheddar scone while they're still warm. The Mint is next door. When evening arrives, go to Le Reve — a James Beard-nominated French bistro two blocks away — and find Amanda at the bar. Ask her about the tiki book behind it. The current answer is a pistachio mai tai.
This is the loft apartment you've designed a hundred times in your head. It just happens to exist here in Sheridan.
